The Pudding Society

If you like puddings…you’ll love this! The Pudding Society is a monthly event entirely based on the worship of the humble British Pudding. If you would happily skip your main meal in favour of devouring a whole steamed pudding, then this is just for you.

Spotted Dick Steamed Suet PuddingThe evening begins with a light main course, created especially for the evening by our very own head chef, accompanied by wine. Then the evening can really begin.

The Parade of the Puddings will entice your tastebuds as we march seven..(yes, 7!) delicious traditional English puddings past your table. Offerings such as Sticky Toffee Pudding, Spotted Dick, Bread and Butter Pudding, Apple Crumble, Jam Roly Poly, Chocolate Sponge and of course Queen of Puddings! Lashings of custard, cream, or chocolate sauce will accompany each dish.

As we serve the tea and coffee you will then be invited up table by table to sample each pudding one at a time. You can have as many or as few trips to the pudding buffet as you wish by invitation from our Pudding Master who will give you a guide to the evening and history on each of our puddings. Once every one has eaten as much as they can all of the guests will be able to vote for their favourite which will have the honour bestowed upon it as the King of all Puddings.

Custard and Chocolate SauceDuring the evening there is also a quiz and much banter. Everyone has a lot of fun, new tastes are tickled, new friends are made and everyone generally leaves a little heavier than when they arrived. A fantastic way to spend an evening, with your partner, your friend or a whole group.

Tickets are available online – but be quick, they tend to book out 2-3 months in advance!
