Menu

Our menu is designed for quick and light lunches or snacks. We have a whole range of traditional English meals such as Rarebit on toast, Omelettes, our very own Meatloaf Pufffkins and Kentish Huffkin rolls filled with Coronation Chicken, or bacon and egg.

For vegetarians we offer salad, vegetable soup, a rustic Ploughman’s lunch and many egg dishes as well as cucumber and egg & cress sandwiches. If you eat fish, we also have smoked salmon, kippers and tuna Huffkins. Our menu runs all day and there is something for everyone including our Bentley’s menu for under 12′s.

Breakfast

Start your day off the right way. Porridge, poached and scrambled eggs, omelettes, kippers, smoked salmon and breakfast Huffkins with egg and bacon are all on offer cooked to order. We have also expanded our breakfast options with Eggs Benedict, Eggs Portobello and our own creation named after the famous writer, ‘Eggs Chaucer’ which includes, ham, mushroom and our chefs own Spitfire rarebit sauce.

Lunches

Tiny Tim's very own PuffkinWe offer a large house Salad, homemade soup using seasonal vegetables and meat stocks,cheese and tomato Quiche, Meatloaf Puffkins using our chefs own cooked pork and beef meatloaf, beautifully seasoned and flavoured. Our rustic Ploughman’s lunch offers pickle, beetroot, apple, chutney, coleslaw, cheese and bread and the Chef’s weekly hot specials are all available, created and prepared on the premises using local produce and raw ingredients.

We pride ourself on preparing all our food from scratch using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. Side garnishes such as chutney, coleslaw and sauces are all homemade by our head chef.

All our lunches are available throughout the day.

Afternoon Tea

We offer Afternoon Tea accompanied with all the trimmings and a selection of 30 different teas as well as Cream Tea served with lashings of clotted cream and jam. If you fancy something warm, our High Tea is served with poached egg and crumpets or for that special occasion choose the Celebration Tea accompanied by a bottle of Kent’s finest sparkling wine.
We have also recently introduced a Gentleman’s Tea which is a savoury version of Afternoon Tea with a slice of rarebit on toast, a cheese scone and a slice of ginger fruit cake accompanied by a bottle of Spitfire Ale. Despite it’s name, the Gentleman’s Tea is available to all ladies who wish to try a savoury addition to the menu.

Cakes and Scones

Scones with Jam and Clotted CreamWe bake all our cakes and scones in house every morning to ensure the tastiest treats. Our bakers arrive early to ensure everything is baked to perfection ready for our first customers through the doors. Everyday we produce plain, sultana, cheese and gluten-free scones along with a flavoured scone of the day and our famous ‘Plump Pilgrim’ – a buttery crumbly cake with currants and mixed citrus bits. Our range of cakes change daily but often includes favourites such as ‘Victoria Sponge’, ‘Chocolate Fudge Cake’, ‘Coffee & Walnut Cake’, ‘Bakewell tart’ and a gluten-free ‘Fresh Orange Cake’.
