Frequently Asked Questions

At Tiny Tim’s Tearoom in Canterbury, England, we prioritize providing excellent customer service. In order to help customers without any hassle, we have provided answers for some of the most common questions that people have for our tearoom and coffee shop.

Do you take bookings?

No sorry, we do not take any bookings at the tearoom. We operate a queueing-only system. However, you can rest assured that the queue moves quickly and is well managed by our staff. We will ensure that you receive the first available table on your turn.

If you require a chair while you wait, please ask a member of our staff. We will be more than happy to help.

Do you take bookings for a large group?

No, sorry, but we often seat large groups at the tearoom. Depending on the day and time, there may be a wait for a table, but we do our best to get your party in as quickly as possible.

Will you take a booking for a special occasion?

We like to think that every visit to Tim’s is a special occasion. So, even though we do not take bookings, we will attempt to seat you as quickly as possible and make sure that your visit is a pleasant one.

Can you accommodate wheelchairs?

When do you serve Afternoon Tea?

We serve Afternoon Tea all day. If we are open, then we will serve Afternoon Tea however we suggest you leave a minimum of 40 minutes to enjoy Afternoon Tea.

How much is the Afternoon Tea?

Our Afternoon Tea is £18.95 per person. This includes sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream and jam, mini cakes and pastries, and a pot of tea or a coffee.

Do you serve gluten-free items?

We offer a daily gluten free scone and usually a gluten and dairy free cake, although as these are made daily we do sometimes run out of these. We can also offer our omelettes which are served with salad and most days our soup of the day. Just ask your server for their recommendations on the day.

Do you have any vacancies?

If we have vacancies we post them on our Facebook page or in the window of the tearoom. If you would like to apply for a position, we ask that you bring your CV into the tearoom in person and hand it to the manager.

Are you dog friendly?

We can accommodate dogs in our courtyard, weather permitting and subject to available space. Whilst we love to see our four legged friends, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate dogs inside the tearoom. Guide dogs are allowed inside the tearoom subject to available space.
